Merry Christmas!~

Well, my favorite time of the year is close and I've been so excited and happy. ^^ I just fucking love Christmas.

Anyways, I've been having some decent luck with FFXI lately. I got lucky and my LS helped me finally finish ToAU. That last fight was a bitch but was so fun. I forgot to take Pictures cause I was too busy spam curing Lec. I swear that guy just ate my Mp like a fat kid at an all you can eat buffet. I got a Crown proving that I'm Naja's Bitch <_<; Not sure if that's a good or bad thing really.



I bought a Vile Elixir, Vile Elixir +1, Hi-Elixir, and a crap load of Hq food for Mp. I used it all in that fight. Was worth it though. Because of that I'm not 3/3 on Expansions.(Don't count Wings as an expansion till the last mission is out) I got myself a decent Ring that I don't plan on using a lot but it's still nice to have.



Since I got that done I was finally able to become a Captain for my Assault rank. That means no more paying for Runic Portals and I get 5 Assault tags now(4 if I don't carry one on me at all times)

I'm rather happy that's done.

I just did the Christmas event tonight. I got a Dream Robe +1, Dream Boots +1 San d'Oria Stables teleport scarf, Bastok, and Windurst Scarfs aswell, And all the Costume Belts.

The Dream Boots +1 aren't that too either, it's the new item they added for this event.

Recently, I've been doing Campaign on Smn. Since they fixed it so Smn actually gets Exp. It's really fun to do. The exp and Allied Notes(the currency the used in the past) are well worth it. I plan on capping Exp on Smn and Whm through Campaign. Hopefully I can do merits aswell since I hate Pting with people.

I've also been debating whether or not I should lvl Sch again. It's at 21 right now. If the job was actually fun to play I'd take it to 75 but really, it isn't. It's like a gimp Rdm. I don't have Refresh or Convert but the Grimoire things are fun and rather interesting. I'll most likely lvl again once SE fixes it. IE, give it a few new spells, and so on.

Aside from that stuff I've been preparing for Christmas at home. I set up my tree and put up decorations everywhere. I'm even wearing my Santa hat as I write this. I just fucking love this holiday ^^

Where has the time gone?

I know it's been forever since I updated this and that was because I was in the hospital for a month. Since it's not FFXI related I won't bother telling you about it.


Since I've been back I dove into the expansion just like everyone else. The first thing I did was get all the Maws so I can have access to all the needed zones and not be gimp and make people wait on me during a future event.

Getting all 9 of the Maws took me about 7 or so hours. Was a long and annoying process but it will be worth it in the end. The Maws are much like Runic Portals. In order to use them I need to get them from the past and then you can use them anytime you need to.

After I got the Maws I decided to unlock Scholar. I read online that I have to do some stupid quest that involves Vellum or something. Rather then doing said stupid quest I just bought the needed items off AH for 35k. Saved me a lot of travel time.

So, after that was unlocked I went to lvl it. I'll tell you now. At level 1 Scholar fucking sucked. The only spell I had was from my SJ. I didn't actually get a spell of my own till lvl 4. So, lvling took me a long time. It took me a good 2 days to get to lvl 10. After I hit 10, I have to say, the Art system was kind of cool.

Dark Arts makes it so all my Dark Magic, Enfeeb, and some other Blm type skills go up to B rank, which is nice for nuking. On top of that Spell cost is - 10%, and I think it gives a bit of Fast cast. Not sure about that yet.

When Dark Arts is active I get to use these JAs called Strategems(Who ever named it that needs to die, such a fucked up name). At lvl 10 I get one called Parsimony. It halves the cost of my next spell. It sucks it's only for one spell but it can help. Like I can make Fire cost something like 12 Mp. At later Lvls this will actually be really handy. I'm lvl 21 right now so I don't have access to many spells or the other JAs. I can't really comment on them yet.

Now that I've explained Dark Arts, let's do Light Arts.

Light Arts have basically the same effect. With the same JAs but they work for White magic type stuff. Healing Skill, Divine Skill, Enhancing, and so on.

Lvling through the dunes hasn't been the best thing. I've been forced to solo through must of it. Now on a job that has a very shitty spell list that wasn't exactly easy. When I did get a Pt it wouldn't last long and I'd be left either lower then when it started or 1k from my level. So, it took me about 4-5 days to get from 10 to 20. I wasn't happy with that.

My friend Lenneth pretty much solo'd his way through the dunes but at a much after pace because he was a Dancer. Who are as of right now, fucking broken and strong. This kid could solo VTs and still have full hp and Tp.

I hate him a lot.

So, after my shitty few days of Lvling, I finally hit level 20. I was glad to move to Qufim at that point.

So far, I've only had one pt and that got me from lvl 20 to 21. They were a good group of people and I had fun. After that Party was over I left and geared up Smn to try and see if I can solo a KSNM.

I almost died, I got it to 40% and ran out of Mp, I tried to Carby stall till I got Mp back but my Hate was too much for Carby to get off me. I died. But now I know I just need to bring some Mp meds, a Mp drink or two and I can solo it. I'm rather pleased I even got it down that much. I expected myself to die at about 80%.

So after that failed I decided to help my friend get the spell called Flood. It drops from Quadav in some bastard place to get to. I've been here for a few hours now and still no drop. Since I don't really have much to do right now I don't mind.

After this drops I'll send it to him and prolly try to lvl Scholar some more. Either that or try my hand at that KSNM again.
